ABOUT STABLE SOLUTIONS

Stable Solutions is a child and youth mental health practice located on a working farm just north of Regina. It offers a calm, private setting where children and teens can feel comfortable, engaged, and understood.

Therapy here is designed to feel natural for children—but it is also structured and purposeful. I primarily use Adlerian Play Therapy, a developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed approach that helps children build skills, confidence, and emotional understanding over time.

When appropriate, animals are thoughtfully included in sessions. Their role is intentional—guided by your child’s goals and integrated into the therapeutic process, rather than simply providing comfort or distraction. Interactions are planned to support regulation, connection, and skill development in ways that are meaningful for each child.

I partner with a small group of carefully selected animals, including dogs, cats, and horses, who are comfortable working with children in therapeutic settings. Each animal is trained using positive, relationship-based methods and chosen based on their temperament and ability to engage safely and effectively. A strong emphasis is placed on creating a good fit between the child and the animal, while also ensuring the well-being of both.

With over 30 years of experience as a teacher, learning resource specialist, and psychologist, I bring a deep understanding of how children function across both home and school environments. I am registered with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists and hold an Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE), allowing me to provide diagnosis as part of comprehensive assessment services.

I provide counselling, assessment, and parent support for children, adolescents, and families, with a focus on helping children make meaningful and lasting progress.

My work is grounded in specialized training in play therapy and animal-assisted play therapy, and I continue to pursue advanced certification in these areas.

Why Animals?

A deep bond often forms between children and animals. Lifelong animal lovers recognize the significant impact that animals can have on a child's development. With their innocent nature, animals make excellent companions in therapy sessions by helping children and youth overcome their challenges.
